Parents & Kids,
Mrs. Angie found a cool new website from the creator of Veggie Tales. You have to go check it out. It has some great and FUN ways to learn Bible stories and Bible facts. Calling Quizzers, You can check out Joshua, Judges and Ruth at this site too. Enjoy!
To God be the glory! This week has been AWESOME at (VBS) Crocodile Dock. We’ve only done VBS twice, but this one goes on the record books as being THE BEST ONE TO DATE.
We had 53 children in attendance last night and new children keep arriving. They are so excited and are truly enjoying themselves. While having all of this FUN, they are also hearing God’s word and experiencing His love for them through lessons and through volunteers.
I have to BRAG on our TEENS who are doing a fabulous job! They take their roles very seriously. They are involved in every aspect of VBS from playing games to praying with children. Crocodile Dock is where fearless kids shine God’s light and these teens are shining His light all over the place. It is a beautiful sight that warms the soul. It brings tears to my eyes. Thank you LORD!
The sacrifices it takes to make VBS happen are worth it all. Testimonies of God’s blessings have been incredible. Children have given their life to Christ. One child brought her neighbor with her to VBS and the neighbor accepted Jesus as her Savior. The girl who brought her neighbor was blessed realizing that inviting her had changed her life forever. NOW THAT’S BIG STUFF!!!
I think Pastor Wayne is going to kiss and Aligator!!!!! I will be providing a picture of this, so stay tuned!
January’s Memory Verse: “But if anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.” 1 John 2:5-6
February’s Memory Verse: “This is the day the LORD has made: let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24
Can you believe it is time to start preparing for our 2009 VBS?!?! I am so excited about our curriculum. Take a moment and go to the website for a quick preview. http://www.group.com/vbs/crocodiledock/

OH! DOES ANYONE HAVE A PIG THAT PASTOR WAYNE CAN KISS????? Last year the GIRLS won the mission offering and he was pied in the face. This year when the GIRLS win, he is going to kiss a pig.
This Fall & Winter have been AMAZING! We moved into our new facility on CR 210 in September, we had our 1st Pumpkin Patch, Fall Festival, and Open House. The children put on a Christmas Program and we enjoyed several Christmas celebrations; Children’s Christmas Party, Annual Christmas Gathering (Worship & Breakfast), Westminster Retirement Home Caroling and Christmas Eve Candlelight Service.
2008 has been a blessing! Thank you LORD for all of the gifts and blessings you have given FCC this year.
Worship Explorer Sundays
We are currently trying to give the children several opportunities to pray for one another.
- Prayer Pals: Stuffed animals with pockets full of prayer requests or praise reports from the other children at church. (When your child brings home one of our Prayer Pals, please remember to encourage your child to pray for their friends daily and to return the Prayer Pal the next Sunday.)
- Harvest Prayer Tree: Children put their prayer requests on a fruit (apple) and place it on the tree. When the prayer is answered, they pick it and place it in the Harvest Basket. This will help strengthen their faith as they see how God answers prayer.
January Memory Verse

Hello! It has been a very long time since I posted anything. We have some really exciting things happening at FCC. Before September is over, we will be in our new Worship Facility on CR 210 W.
We are so HAPPY to WELCOME Melody Parker and Kimberly Atkinson to our Children’s Ministry Team. Melody Parker is our 1st Nursery Coordinator; infants – crawlers. Kimberly Atkinson is our 1st Toddler Coordinator; walkers – 41/2 yrs old. These two women have done a phenomenal job organizing the security procedures, volunteers and children. If you are interested in volunteering in either of these classes, please contact one of them or myself. Both of these ministries are very important to the spiritual foundation of our babies and toddlers. It will be a rewarding time for you and the children as you worship God together. There will be singing and dancing, story time, play time, organized activity time and snack time. Please join our Nursery!!!
In Worship Explorers, we have four children graduating into the Teen Group. We will continue to see them as the rotate in throughout the month to help with puppets, worship and more. If your teenager would like to volunteer with the Worship Explorers, please e-mail me or see me at church and we will get them started. We have a great time together and your teen will not miss out on God’s Word and Worship Time.
In just two months we will have our first Pumpkin Patch at the Worship Center on 210. If you and your family would like to volunteer an evening or Saturday, we could use your help. For more information, please contact the church office (904) 287-3223. We need to collect as many pallets as we can before October 13th, to place pumpkins on when they
arrive. If you have any unused pallets, can you collect them and bring them to the church property? Or if you know where I can get some, please e-mail me or contact the church office.
Hey, if you looking for things to do with your kids, take a look at the First Coast Parents website www.firstcoastparent.com or pick up their FREE magazine at the library or other places around town. When I look at this magazine it gets me all excited about the possibilities of activities I can do with my family and even the kids at church. If you haven’t heard of this cool family resource, check it out.
